How to report traffic violations using VNeTraffic

Date December 30, 2024, Goverment issued Decree No. 176/2024/ND-CP on the management and use of funds from administrative sanctions for violations of road traffic order and safety and revenue from vehicle license plate auctions after payment to the state budget.

This Decree takes effect from January 1, 2025, especially emphasizing support for individuals and organizations providing information reflecting administrative violations of traffic order and safety.

To easily report traffic violations, please use the VNeTraffic application of the Traffic Police Department. VNeTraffic is a Vietnamese smart traffic application that was just released in early 2025. The VNeTraffic application was developed by the Traffic Police Department on the basis of a traffic database, serving to provide traffic information as well as traffic utilities for people towards the goal of national digital transformation and modernization of the People's Public Security force.

Below is the order of steps to report traffic violations via VNeTraffic:

Step 1: First, download the VNeTraffic application to your phone. After downloading, open the application.

Step 2: Next, you log in/register for an account to start using. The login portal via VNeID is not yet available, so you should register with your ID card.

Step 3: Scan the QR code on the CC card to complete the information, enter your phone number and OTP code to complete the registration.

Step 4: Right on the home page of the VneTraffic application, click on Create a report and fill in all the information about the violation. Then, click Submit report and you're done.
